This year, once again, VegOut will be catering for a vast array of events in all sorts of venues, from barns of all shapes and sizes to village halls, marquees, private houses and gardens and even in fields - sometimes “Outside Caterers” does actually mean literally – outside!

We are already busy talking to people about their wedding plans for 2010 - because we have always worked with our clients on an individual basis, and do not have any set menus, we like to meet people, preferably at the proposed venue, to discuss specific requirements. As soon as we have a general idea of menu preferences, we offer samples of various dishes when we meet, which also gives us a chance to check out the layout and the facilities available at the venue to ensure the smooth running of the event. In addition, we are spending time in the kitchen creating and trying out new dishes with the changing seasons, and also checking out the many new vegetarian and vegan products currently on the market.

Last November, we took part in the brand new Eco Veggie Fayre at the Fairfields Hall in Croydon. It was nice to meet and greet past and new clients, and for them to taste a few samples of our food. This was so successful, that the organisers of the Fayre have invited VegOut to be one of the approved caterers at the forthcoming Brighton Eco Veggie Fayre on Saturday 20th March at the Hove Town Hall - more details at www.brighton.ecoveggiefayre.co.uk. We are planning to provide a varied vegan menu for visitors to buy and try, including a Tuscan Bean soup and a Spicy Moroccan Tagine and lots more as well together with cakes, scones, organic Fairtrade Teas and Coffee – and not forgetting a selection of our unusual and popular chutneys (why not try our new Quince Chutney?).

On our travels around Southern England, we frequently find and work in venues and halls etc. which often don’t appear in directories and lists. Therefore, if you are looking for a suitable venue in your area, why not give us a call and we may be able to have some ideas for you.
