Now that the winter months are truly behind us, and the longer and warmer days are ahead, many people are contacting VegOut to provide the catering at their events.
The different kinds of events already booked includes barbecues, weddings, parties, civil ceremonies, Christenings, Bar Mitvahs, lunches and dinner parties, picnics and corporate functions. So please contact us to discuss your personal catering requirements.

On Sunday 20 th July, VegOut will again be taking part at ‘EcoFair 2008' in Horsham which is being organised by a local company Ecotecture Ltd and supported by Horsham District Council and the West Sussex County Times (details on www.ecofair.org.uk ).
At both of these events we will be running our popular veggie BBQ of Hot Dogs and Burgers served with a choice of very tasty homemade chutneys. We will, of course, be very happy to meet you there on the day.

At VegOut we are always looking at ways to reduce our carbon footprint, so all of our disposable plates are made from reeds and are completely bio-degradable. We use wooden cutlery which comes from a sustainable source, and charcoal for the BBQ's is obtained locally from an environmentally friendly supplier. Fairtrade products are always on the VegOut shopping list, and we encourage recycling wherever and whenever possible.
We are happy to see that The Vegetarian Society is resuming its Leisure Cookery courses and has a wide range of classes to suit all tastes. They are well recommended and potential students can obtain details on www.vegsoc.org . |
Recently, we at VegOut have been organising cooking demonstrations for local groups and clubs. These have been for all ages and interests and are designed to show how creative veggie cuisine can be exciting, with dishes that everyone can enjoy (see our testimonial pages from past clients).
We like to use all sorts of ingredients, some of which you may have seen in the shops but which you are not quite sure how to use (such as quinoa – pronounced keen-wah!). We can also demonstrate various cooking techniques, such as how to make sponge cakes without using eggs, as well as more exotic dishes from around the world. So, if your organisation is interested in a VegOut cooking demo (for a small fee to cover ingredients and travelling expenses) why not give us a call. Of course, samples are always provided!
